POSITION TITLE: Water Technician/Handyman
DIVISION: Mitigation
REPORTS TO TITLE: Mitigation Manager
General Description
PD Ottawa is considered to be one of the Premier Flood and Fire Restoration companies in Ottawa. Recently, we’ve experienced considerable growth and we’re now looking to hire additional full time personnel.
The position being offered is related mostly to the mitigation side of our business. You will be involved in initial emergencies, tear out, demolition and mold and asbestos removal. It is intended that in time, you will be given the role of Crew Chief, responsible for managing teams, executing work orders and delivering quality results for all projects.
However, during the rebuild phase of the project, you may be required to make repairs to the structures that were torn out during the demolition phase.

About You
It’s mandatory that you have:
- Experience working as a mitigation technician
- significant demolition/handyman experience;
- the ability to pay attention to the finer details in everything you do;
- a knack for following check lists through to job completion;
- have significant experience documenting job progress and completing all necessary paperwork;
- a valid driver’s license;
- a clean criminal background record; and
- a willingness to work long, hard days, participate in the on call rotation and work evenings and weekends if our insurance partners mandate it.
