Paul Davis is currently looking for Project Manager to work in a team environment alongside a Project Coordinator and a PMA/Estimator. Project Managers work with multiple stakeholders to delivered restored properties after events such as a fire or flood damaged residential and commercial structures. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all project phases including cleaning up after the loss, scoping the work and managing the repairs as well as controlling the costs and managing the profits of the entire job.

As a Project Manager, you will be on scene after property disasters to accurately scope projects and sign work for our production teams to complete. You will build relationships with insurance professionals / clients and communicate with property owners the expectations to build the structure back to its original form.

Construction project management experience would be an asset but 3 years of Sales experience is required to receive consideration for this position.

Compensation includes a base salary plus the opportunities to earn commissions when the individual exceeds expectations. No limit to earning potential.

Scorecard – Project Manager

Objective: Sign restoration project contracts, scope/estimate work to be completed, communicate and build relationships with adjustors/agents/clients, communicate with project Coordinator and PMA/Estimator to ensure gross margins are hit and customers’ expectations are met. Measurable Outcomes:

  • Sign $2,000,000 in reconstruction projects through your first 12 months;
  • Practice immediacy in pursuing reconstruction contract opportunities – successfully closing opportunities at a rate of 75%;
  • Scope and estimate projects to completion at 42% gross margin;
  • Accurately scope a story and educate home owners and adjustors on the reconstruction process for each job;
  • Ensure projects are completed with a 42% gross margin;
  • Manage other team members to hit deadlines and stay within budget;
  • Set and exceed customer expectations with an NPS score > 75%;
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers throughout project
  • Ensure the Project Coordinator hits 85% of your set production cycle times;
  • Deliver what you promise to customers and adjustors;
  • Openly communicate and serve people in their time of need.

Priorities/Focus:

  • Attend weekly GS&R coaching session with Sales Manager;
  • Bi-weekly profitability analysis;
  • Communicate and collaborate daily with the PC and PMA/Estimator to ensure proper handling and completion of the life cycle of the job;
  • Help ensure all resources used to execute the project live out Paul Davis core values;
  • Close the Loop and celebrate completion of projects with customers;

Essential Duties

  • Receive loss assignment.
  • Contact property owner within 30 minutes (non-emergency).
  • Be the first on scene for all customers, acting as the face of the company for homeowners, Property Managers, Clients and Adjusters.
  • Maintain a consultative sales approach, confidently guiding each customer through each stage of the process.
  • Be on site within 2 hours, if it is an emergency, or inspect loss site within 24 hours for non-emergencies (unless there are other carrier program requirements).
  • Present company processes and set expectations.
  • Establish the need with every client during the initial and subsequent visits.
  • Work with the Production Coordinator to create a comprehensive and profitable scope.
  • Work with the PMA/Estimator to ensure the estimate produced accurately reflects the scope of the loss and is detailed enough to produce the required gross margins.
  • Ensure estimates are prepared in a timely fashion (typically within 48 hours of the inspection or according to program requirements for specific losses/carriers).
  • Secure approved estimate and price with insurer.
  • Be prepared, present and personal.
  • Ensure necessary paperwork is delivered and the relationship is maintained with the insurer/property manager.
  • Deliver necessary paperwork to property owner and secure contract.
  • Deliver necessary paperwork to PD administrative department.
  • Expedite resolutions and complaints to customer’s satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits, email and telephone communications.
  • Enter daily communications/updates into the company database.
  • Practice immediacy by responding to all phone/email/online requests within 2 hours.
  • Maintain regular communication with all parties, to ensure schedules are followed and deadlines are met to live up to the customer’s expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects at once, whilst maintaining efficiency.
  • Provide a calming approach whilst dealing with conflict resolution.
  • Take ownership of every customer
  • Prepare file for closing.
  • Collect payment on closed jobs in a timely fashion. Hit and exceed weekly/monthly/yearly targets
  • Take ownership in developing business within your territory, as the face of Paul Davis.
  • Understand and commit to delivering the Paul Davis KPI’s, set by our insurance customers, and setting expectations based on these.
  • Build connections with local Property Managers and sourcing new opportunities
  • Attend networking and community opportunities
  • Continuously seek and incorporate best practices and technologies in order to optimize project delivery and deliver value to the client
  • Become IICRC certified in at least WRT, ASD, and FSRT.
  • Be included in the “On-Call” team rotation.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications in particular – MS Project, MS Excel, MS Outlook, along with ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable vehicle.
  • Provide a clean criminal background record.
