POSITION TITLE: Estimator PMA

The PMA will work on various projects within a versatile team where all your skills will be put to good use. You will be responsible for creating estimates and updating all external stakeholders through our online systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To actively work with all associated team members with one common goal: Delivering a Restored Property
  • To accurately translate scopes into a profitable estimate using our estimating program
  • Assist the team to proactively source further information in the interest of creating a profitable estimate.
  • To understand, complete and drive client Service Level Agreement throughout the team
  • Collect emergency information from sub-contractors.
  • Assist the team to ensure that our job management programs (RMS and XA) are equally updated
  • Assist the team to post schedules in our job management programs (RMS and XA) and share with clients as required
  • Assist the team to upload reports, documentation and site pictures.
  • Monitor and assist the team any associated control points.
  • To upload estimates and revise them as required.
  • Assist the team to respond to clients regarding estimates, schedules or general enquiries.
  • Assist the team to source and schedule sub-contractors
  • To manage ICC submissions.
  • To ensure all involved parties are informed and working to tight deadlines
  • To submit files for invoicing.
  • Assisting on project changes and divert the information to the relevant people.
  • Respond to all phone/email/online requests within 2 hours.
  • Maintaining regular communication with all parties, to ensure schedules are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Assisting on managing multiple projects at once, whilst maintaining efficiency.
  • To provide a calming approach whilst dealing with conflict resolution.
  • To take ownership of every customer
  • Understanding the Paul Davis Ottawa’s Key Performance Indicators.
  • Weekly reporting to the Sales Manager
  • Handling enquiries from all parties both internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

To be up to the exciting challenge of this PMA role, you must have a professional profile that includes:

  • More than 2 years experience in customer service orientated role.
  • A basic understanding of the industry would be an asset.
  • Have a thirst and ability to learn new technology in estimating and sketching
  • Proven success in working independently in order learn new skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects whilst making sure the customer is taken care of.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team player skills.
  • The ability to handle conflict and think on your feet.
  • Must be able to make confident decisions and defend them to others
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritise.
  • Highly advanced ability to influence, persuade and negotiate project resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Highly advanced ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated and quality driven
  • Highly advanced ability to manage relationships and expectations
  • Possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a desire to continuously seek and incorporate best practices and technologies in order to optimize project delivery and deliver value to the client
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications in particular – MS Project, MS Excel, MS Outlook, along with ability to quickly learn new applications
